In what seemed as one of the longest build-outs for a restaurant I have ever seen, The Counter at Gateway Mall finally opened a few weeks back. A burger joint, with about any topping you can think of made it hard to choose, until we figured out that a “custom burger” could end up costing over $11 each.
Instead, we opted for (1) Counter Burger (house specialty) to split between the two of us, and one large order of fries and soft drinks. Coming in at $20.29 for the meal, I was a little taken back by the price.
Once the burger arrived, and it did take its sweet time, it was a good quality meat, fresh and still piping hot. The burgers thickness could have been a little heavier. I do expect to return, and hopefully I can offer a better grade on my next visit to The Counter.
