Hires Big H has been a Utah favorite for generations. Though not on roller skates, it's one of the few places that you can still get car hop service from a friendly wait staff.
When you pull up, leave your headlights on to signal that you are ready to order. Turn them back on to signal a server to come back and pick up your tray.
I've personally never had anything but their signature Big H burger with a side of fresh fries and a mug of frosty root beer but their extensive menu of fresh topped burgers, hot dogs and typical drive-in offerings draw a big crowd day and night.
About the Pink Sauce that comes with your order of fries or onion rings. Though Arctic Circle may be the originator of fry sauce, Hires Big H has a more authentic tasting version that's much smoother and lighter than that from Arctic Circle and compliments the fresh fried goodness.
Stop in and visit Hires Big H at the original location on 700 East or one of the smaller locations that popped up in the suburbs in the late 80's. I myself tend to stick with the original but I often forget they aren't open on Sunday.
