After patronizing Crown Burger Restaurants for over 20 years, I must say I was extremely surprised to receive a less than great Crown Burger Jr. on a recent visit to their 33rd south location in Salt Lake City.
What was wrong? The Crown Burger Jr. had some of the crispiest pastrami I have ever seen. It literally had a crunch factor and I couldn’t eat it, just wasn’t the same as usual which in turn ruined the entire meal. My dog was happy, I was not.
Usually not one to bother calling a fast food establishment, but since this was so bad, and usually so good, I took the time out of my evening to call. The lady on the other end acted surprised about my call, assuring me that it was next to impossible to serve dry pastrami since its kept in the liquid.
Regardless of the issues she offered to make good on my next visit. I accepted and she said to ask for Nick on my next visit. Unfortunately “Nick” was not privy to our conversation because without a receipt, this old guy wasn’t going to honor their mistake.
After being a long time patron, I was first confused, then I became enraged over the lack of respect shown by the management, and the misleading statement that they would make good.
Just like KFC, this establishment is not likely to be on my return visit list in the future. Overall rating is a D+
