Salt Lake City's Original Pancake House is tucked into a non-descript building off 21st South and 800 East in lower Sugarhouse on what used to be the location of the famous Piccadilly Fish & Chips.
It took a while for us to finally pay them a visit but after one visit I can assure you it's not worth the wait, or worth the price.
I'm not sure if the prices are high because of their limited hours and they're making it up in overcharging but after this visit I don't think we will be back.
The service was fine, the wait was atrocious especially for a weekday, and the food, simply mediocre.
A request to take pictures of their food presentation was rebuffed by the on duty manager Greg Allen who I might add was rather rude. Not what I would have expected at a family establishment that purports to offer a friendly atmosphere.
My suggestion is to stick with a local establishment like the Other Place Restaurant or Rocky Mountain Grill. There the service is excellent and the food priced within reason.
