We dined for breakfast today at a second choice restaurant. Not second choice rate mind you but the line at Blue Plate Diner was longer than we had wanted to, well, wait. So we tried a new joint called the Rocky Mountain Grill on the advice of a very dear friend.
The Rocky Mountain Grill is what you'd expect of a good hole in the wall family run diner. Owned by Margie Childs and Isaac Azevedo.
Service came with a healthy dose of attitude, our waitress handing us the menus before we were seated stating "here, take these your not doing anything". All in good fun of course, and it continued through the order and serving with joking along with our party.
The omelet, came just as I like them with the add-ins mixed in, while the omelet was cooked. I hate omelets that add the stuffing's after it's cooked, just not the same in my opinion. The side of potatoes, although good were served a little cold. Heat them up some and they could have been much better. Toast was lightly toasted and they were nice thick slices with the perfect amount of butter slathered on.
So if you're looking for a family owned local flavor place for breakfast, Rocky Mountain Grill can serve you up what you're looking for.
